TimeLagAccumulator A replica of the San Francisco Tape Music Center "Time Lag Accumulator" A replica of the San Francisco Tape Music Center "Time Lag Accumulator," hereafter referred to as TLA, because of the inherent joke, and because of impending repetitive stress issues. The TLA was originally a long tape delay scheme used by Terry Riley, Pauline Oliveros and others at the San Francisco Tape Music Center. It involved a couple of well calibrated tape recorders, one to record onto, and the other placed some distance away for playback. This same basic scheme was later utilized by Fripp & Eno, and forms the basis of "Frippertronics."
