stpan1~ Abstraction stereo panning element
This stereo panning element creates smooth, equal-power gain changes from left-to-right (channel one to channel two), the panning is controlled at audio rate by modulating the phase inlet of two cosine oscillators whose frequency is zero Hertz.
stutter~ External stutter~ keeps a history of its signal input(left inle
stutter~ keeps a history of its signal input(left inlet). Upon recieving an int(left inlet), it copies that number of the most recently recieved samples to another playback buffer. This buffer may be cycled through by its phase, 0-1 (right inlet). on bang (left inlet) or a trigger signal (middle inlet), the last int number of samples are copied to the playback buffer.
suivi.score~ External for audio performance input
svf~ External svf~ implements Chamberlin's state-variable filter algorithm.
svf~ implements Chamberlin's state-variable filter algorithm. One of its advantages is that the it produces low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, and band-reject (notch) output simultaneously - so all four are available in parallel.
swinger~ External swinger~ replaces the phases of one signal (left) with those from another (right).
swinger~ replaces the phases of one signal (left) with those from another (right). The result often sounds like victory. A swinging trick: Don't connect any signal to the right inlet and listen to the result.
switch~ External [switch is currently inoperative in MSP]
sync~ External Synchronization from tap tempo, MIDI beat clock or audio click tracks.
sync~ outputs a 0-1 ramp, like phasor~. The frequency of the ramp can be specified in beats per minute (BPM), or by sending sync~ a tempo reference via tap tempo, MIDI beat clock, or an audio signal containing a 'click track.' Also, sync~ generates MIDI beat clock to synchronize external devices.
synGranul~ External sinusoidal granulation DSP object
Advanced sinusoidal granulation DSP engine for MaxMSP. Features are buffer based enveloppe, float/signal parameter control, internal spatialisation of each grain on 2-4-6-8 channels, high polyphony ( up to 512 simultaneous grains ).
tab1~ External reads in a file from disk in the NeXT soundfile format
At startup, tab1~ reads in a file from disk in the NeXT soundfile format - a 16-bit fixed point soundfile with the standard 28 byte NeXT header. This is converted to floating point values between -1 and +1 and the header is ignored. 512 samples of the soundfile are read into the table (if the soundfile contains more they are ignored.) Slopes between successive points are calculated and stored in memory. (Thus tab1~ tables are stored in memory as value and slope pairs).
table~ External Table~ manages a sample table for holding sound samples, accessible by the objects sampread~, sampwrite~, and sampeek~.
tabpeek~ External index a signal in a table~ object by sample number
tabpoke External read/write a control value to table~ object by sample number
taint~ External taint~ multiplies the spectra of two input signals
taint~ multiplies the spectra of two input signals. Multiplication of spectra can cause significant drops in the amplitude of the output signal. The inverse option allows division of the input spectra. Division requires the use of a threshold to avert division by zero. Also, signal division will cause massive amplitude gains. Be careful of your ears and equipment. Start the amplitude very low (-100dB) and slowly work up to an acceptable level.
tamb~ External tambourine PhISM model, STK, synthesis toolkit
tanh~ External Hyperbolic tangent function (tanh(x)) for signals
