rms1~ Abstraction measures the average amplitude of a signal
rms1~ is a measure of the average amplitude of a signal using the RMS (root-meansquare) method. Although MSP already has an amplitude level peak meter (meter~) it is not as useful for amplitude or envelope following as rms1~.
round~ External round~ rounds its left signal input to the nearest integer multiple of its right signal input.
round~ rounds its left signal input to the nearest integer multiple of its right signal input. With the 'nearest' message you can determine whether or not it rounds to the absolute nearest integer multiple, or simply the nearest integer multiple between the value and zero (for positive numbers this will round down). By default this is on.
router External matrixctrl-compatible Max message router
router is a Max object which lets you patch multiple sources of Max data to multiple destinations dynamically (sort of like a series of nested switches and gates). It is designed to work best with the matrixctrl user-interface object, and uses a syntax equivalent to the MSP matrix~ object.
rtcmix~ External encapsulates RTcmix, a digital synthesis, signal-processing and scripting/scheduling language
Version 1.8 (Max5) of the [rtcmix~] object is available for free
download:

http://rtcmix.org/rtcmix~/

for Macintosh OS X (10.5/10.6). Windows 7 version coming soon!
(maybe…)

New features in this release include a number of new 'instruments',
a dynamic envelope/control system to allow interactive modification
of instrument controls (PFields in RTcmix-parlance), and nice
tuning-system and numerical function packages by Joel Matthys.

For those who don't know, [rtcmix~] encapsulates the "musicN"-style sound
synthesis and signal processing language RTcmix within Max/MSP. RTcmix
includes a robust scheduler and large set of pre-compiled synthesis and
signal-processing instruments. It also comes with a functional-style
("C-like") programming interface for algorithmic compositional work as well
as data storage and mathematical operations. Full source for the object
and the language are also on-line.

Both Macintosh OSX and Windows XP versions (older) are available.

I hope you enjoy using it! For more information about RTcmix, visit
the RTcmix web page:

s2m.envfollow~ External simple enveloppe follower
s2m.envfollow~ is a simple enveloppe follower, based on an algorithm given in chapter 7 of U. Zölzer's book "Digital Audio signal Processing". See the help patch for detail.
s2m.resFS1~ External A parametrically well behaved two pole filter. Center frequency and damping can be changed without producing discontinuities in the filter output.
s2m.resFS1~ implement a 2nd order digital resonator, using the method described by M. V. Mathews and J. O. Smith in their SMAC03 paper : "Methods for synthesizing very high Q parametrically well behaved two pole filters,". Center frequency and damping can be changed without discontinuities problems. See the help patch for details
s2m.sdf~ External Spectral Delay Filter
s2m.sdf~ is a Spectral Delay Filter, or a cascade of 1st order dispersive allpass filters, allowing for interesting effects. See the help patch for details.
sadam.addSynth~ External Additive synthesizer with time-dependent parameters.
Must be downloaded separately from the ZiMT's website: http://www.mdw.ac.at/zimt/downloads-e.html
sadam.fofSynth~ External Formant Synthesizer with time-dependent parameters.
sadam.getSoundDescriptors~ External Extract sound descriptors from an arbitrary sound.
sadam.normalize~ External An object that sets the gain of a source to the level of a reference signal.
sadam.normalize~ takes a source and a reference signal, computes their average gain (doing an average over the absolute values or the square root of the sum of the square of the absolute values of the incoming signals) and rescales the source signal to have the same gain as the reference signal.
sadam.peakExtractor~ External Extract spectral peaks from a signal in real-time.
sadam.phasor~ External Phasor object with maximal resting state.
sadam.phasor~ will generate a ramp between 0 and 1 with the given frequency. The only difference between this object and the legacy phasor~ object is that if frequency is set to 0, the ramp will continue until it reaches 1. This can be useful in scenarios when the phasor is controlling a modulation and for 0 frequency we'd like to turn off the modulation completely, including DC effects.
