hdsp External Control RME HDSP sound card
hoa.binaural~ External A binaural decoder for ambisonic soundfield.
hoa.binaural~ virtualizes ambisonic soundfield for two headspeakers. It uses hrtf to perform FIR filtering on the incoming signal. Hrtf are extracted from the "sipic hrtf database". hoa.binaural~ works up to the order 35 and at 44100 Hz only.
jr.bp.cpu Abstraction a bpatcher abstraction to show the cpu usage of the DSP chain
jr.cpu Abstraction show the cpu usage of the DSP chain in percent
jr.dspon Abstraction Audio is always on!
liveGranul~ External live input granulation DSP object
Advanced live input granulation DSP engine for MaxMSP. Features are buffer based enveloppe, float/signal parameter control, internal spatialisation of each grain on 2-4-6-8 channels, high polyphony ( up to 512 simultaneous grains ).
multiallpass~ External Stackable allpass filter
This external can chain between two and twenty four allpass filters and allows the output of the chain to be fed back into the input. It's basically a static phaser. Based on Ross Bencina's phaser code on musicdsp.org
mute1~ Abstraction fade out
This abstraction is not to be confused with the standard MSP external object mute~, as the two objects serve different purposes. Back in the early days of MAX/FTS on the ISPW, mute1~ was created as a way to quickly fade out a portion of the signal chain, without causing clicks. Unfortunately, its name is very similar to that of the mute~ object in MSP, which is designed to brutally switch on and off the DSP calculations within sub-patchers.
pass~ External Elminate noise when listening to a muted subpatcher
Elminate noise when listening to a muted subpatcher. Use pass~ before the outputs of a subpatcher you intend to mute. When the subpatcher is disabled using mute~, the pass~ object outputs a zero signal. Otherwise it passes the input to the output. If pass~ isn't used, the output of a muted subpatcher could be any signal, even one making unwelcome noise, because the function of mute~ is not to zero the volume of the output but to eliminate the DSP processing (and therefore the CPU utilization) of the subpatcher. An alternative to using pass~ would be to put a volume control on the output that is set to zero when the subpatcher is muted.
plugreceive~ External Receive a signal from another plug-in
Receive a signal from another plug-in. plugreceive~ outputs a signal received from a plugsend~. You can use plugreceive~ to send audio between different DSP chains in a multiple plug-in environment. There can be any number of plugreceive~ objects for each plugsend~, and any number of plugsend~ object add their signals to the "bus" read by plugreceive~.
plugsend~ External Send a signal from one plug-in to another
Send a signal from one plug-in to another. plugsend~ is similar to send~ except it works for sending audio between different DSP chains. Like send~, multiple plugsend~ objects with the same name add their signals together. plugsend~ is, however, less efficient than send~ within a single DSP chain.
poly~ External Polyphony and DSP manager for patchers
space6 Abstraction Spatialization in cartesian and polar coordonates.
Spatialization in cartesian and polar coordonates. Use two other abstractions : spacecart and spacepol. Theses abstractions have been used to create a spatialization using 6 loudspeakers and 3 MIDI sound expanders. "Cheap" but efficient !
St.DefLS Abstraction a helper abstraction to send loudspeaker configurations to Ville Pullkis vbap.
St.mtofms Abstraction Like mtof but you can tune it to a different A with the first parameter (default 440 Hz)
It will output looplength out of the middle outlet in ms and out of the right outlet in samples according to the second parameter (default Max's samplerate which is set in the DSP status window)

Libraries
GMU externals
debug: SELECT prenom, nom FROM auteurs RIGHT JOIN auteur_libraries USING (id_auteur) WHERE auteur_libraries.id_library='145' GMEM GMU externals is a library of advanced granulation DSP engine for MaxMSP. It is the external-only distribution of the GMU package.
pg.library
debug: SELECT prenom, nom FROM auteurs RIGHT JOIN auteur_libraries USING (id_auteur) WHERE auteur_libraries.id_library='161'Pierre Guillot The pg.library is a collection of externals for Max 5 and Max 6. It includes a data, a msp and a fft library.
The Data library is a collection of externals for Max 5 and 6 that can be useful for the management, the transformation and the generation of data. The Dsp library is a collection of externals for Max 5 that allows you to pack/unpack signals and to adapt signals for the operations with packed signals. It includes a quasi-synchronous granlular synthesiser and chaotic signal generator. The FFT library is a collection of externals for Max 6 for spectral description and analysis of a signal.
VASP
debug: SELECT prenom, nom FROM auteurs RIGHT JOIN auteur_libraries USING (id_auteur) WHERE auteur_libraries.id_library='49'Thomas Grill VASP is a package for PD or Max/MSP consisting of a number of externals extending these systems with functions for non-realtime array-based audio data processing. VASP is capable of working in the background, therefore not influencing eventual dsp signal processing.
