zsa.decrease External decrease reports the amount of spectral magnitude decreasing.
zsa.decrease~ External decrease reports the amount of spectral magnitude decreasing.
zsa.slope External spectral slope estimation of the amount of spectral magnitude decreasing, computed by a linear regression on numeric spectra list
zsa.slope~ External Spectral slope is an estimation of the amount of spectral magnitude decreasing, computed by a linear regression on the magnitude spectra.
asin External Arc-sine function
Calculates the arc-sine of the input
asinh External Hyperbolic arc-sine function
Calculates the hyperbolic arc-sine of the input
asinh~ External Arc Hyperbolic sine function (asinh(x)) for signals
asin~ External Arc-sine function (asin(x)) for signals
clickphasers Patch These patches are a bit messy. What they basically do is make periodic clicking noises of slightly different frequencies in order to achieve a phasing effect (as in Steve Reich's music). One of the patches' clicking tone can be manipulated as well.
curve~ External Exponential ramp generator
curve~ is similar to line~. It produces a signal that goes from an initial to target value over a specified number of milliseconds. However, it produces non-linear ramps using a piecewise approximation of an exponential function. You specify the parameter to this exponential function in the curve~ object's right inlet. Values from 0 to 1 produce an "exponential" curve when increasing in value and values from -1 to 0 produce a "logarithmic" curve. The closer to 0 the curve parameter is, the closer the curve is to a straight line, and the farther away the parameter is from 0, the steeper the curve. curve~ can also accept a list of up two or three arguments (the previous curve parameter is used if there are two arguments), or a list with two or more value, time, parameter triples. curve~ is limited to 42 such triples in a single list. The object's approximation of the exponential becomes better when the vector size is smaller, but the object also becomes more computationally expensive.
ddg.mono External a monophonic synth controller for Max/MSP.
a monophonic synth controller for Max/MSP. implements last/high/low note priority and legato/retrigger phrasing. most useful if you are creating monosynth emulations (as ido all the time). includes a help file with a complete example - strap it across your \"notein\" or \"kslider\" and go crazy. the external will work with previous versions of Max, but the .help file uses a polyphonic kslider (and is therefore Max 4-specific).
Hysteresis Patch Outputs 1 when increasing input reaches upper threshold, 0 when decreasing input reaches lower threshold
mindwarp~ External mindwarp~ performs spectral envelope warping.
mindwarp~ performs spectral envelope warping. It can be used to correct for the formant shifting effects of pitch-scaling. The warp factor is tuned to warp spectra to compensate for directly corresponding pitch-scaling values. For example, if you have pitch-scaled a signal by a factor of two, increasing its frequency content by an octave, by providing mindwarp~ with a warp factor of 2. and the pitch-scaled signal, mindwarp~ will restore the spectral formant of the signal to an estimation of the shape present in the original unscaled signal. Currently, warp factor values are restricted to the range [1/16 ... 16.]. mindwarp~ utilizes frequency shaping to perform its duty.
mousefilter External Pass a message only when mouse button is up
Use mousefilter when you want to change something with a slider or other user interface object only after releasing the mouse, instead of continuously. This could be useful when the slider's output initiates a time-consuming process which would otherwise destroy the "feel" of the user interface.
overdrive~ External Apply nonlinear transfer function (aka waveshaping) to a signal to simulate an overdriven amplifier.
overdrive~ distorts signals by applying a nonlinear transfer function. The shape of the function is determined by a floating-point "drive" parameter. If drive is 1., the signal is unchanged. Increasing drive increases the distortion. If drive is set to less than zero, VERY LOUD BAD distortion results, which may or may not be desireable. Use caution.
