pg.analyser~ External Estimation of the centroid, the spread, the skewness and the kurtosis.
pg.descriptor~ External Sonogram and analysis of a buffer~ (beta).
adc1~ Abstraction stereo analog-to-digital (ADC) converter
The adc1~ module is a stereo analog-to-digital (ADC) converter which includes a highpass filter to remove the DC component of the incoming signal.
adc~ External Output audio from computer's input source
adc~ (which stands for "analog-to-digital conversion") receives multiple channels of audio in and sends it to its outputs as signals. It receives messages to turn audio on and off.
anal External Transition probability analysis correctly formatted for the 'prob' object
Anal takes an incoming integer stream and analyzes the transition probabilities between successive entries. It outputs a list of three numbers: state 1, state 2 and the current weight for a transition between the two states.
analogique Collective Xenakis's Analogique implementation
analogue~ External analogue style oscillator that implements 4 different waveforms, namely sine, triangle, square and saw.
analogue style oscillator that implements 4 different waveforms, namely sine, triangle, square and saw. The warmth (i.e. colour of the overtones) and the instability (i.e. inaccuracy) can be varied.

analyzer~ External FFT-Based Perceptual Analysis
FFT-Based Perceptual Analysis.Pitch tracker based on fiddle~ from Miller Puckette.
at.rhythm External rhythm detection
rhythm detection based on metrical grid analysis algorithm described by Jarno Seppänen
aubiopitch External pitch object from Paul Brossier. MaxMSP port by Andrew Robertson
same as the aubioPitch~ object for Pd. It does a yin monophonic analysis although there are some methods that can be called.
bark~ External Auditory Model Spectrum Analyser
bpass1~ Abstraction band-pass filter
Like apass2~, this second-order IIR band-pass filter computes coefficients for a biquad~. A band-pass filter only lets a certain band of frequencies pass through it. The band is defined by a center frequency and a bandwidth (usually the width in Hz where the volume on either side of the center frequency is attenuated by -3dB). Anyone who has worked with an analog bandpass filter will quickly understand what to do with it!
cartonormdb~ External Computes the amplitude in decibels of an fft bin, normalized to value in first bin of each fft group. This form of db computation is typically used to analyze the spectral effects of a window.
chuck~ External [chuck~] encapsulates the ChucK music programming language in max/msp
Version 1.6 (Max5) of the [chuck~] Max/MSP object
is available for free download:

http://music.columbia.edu/~brad/chuck~/

for Macintosh OS X (10.5/6).

The new [chuck~] object is up-to-date with the latest (v 1.2.1.3)
release of the ChucK language, including the LiSa live-sampling
unit generators and the unit-analysis generators in the
1.2.1.3 package.

[chuck~] imbeds the ChucK music-programming language in Max/MSP,
bringing a sophisticated set of synthesis and signal-processing tools
into the Max/MSP environment. [chuck~] also features an advanced
timing and scheduling system in addition to a functional-style
programming interface for algorithmic operations. Full source for
the object and the language are also on-line.

No Windows version is available at present -- sorry!

This is a fun object -- enjoy it! For more information about ChucK,
visit the ChucK web page:

Libraries
artificial tango
debug: SELECT prenom, nom FROM auteurs RIGHT JOIN auteur_libraries USING (id_auteur) WHERE auteur_libraries.id_library='104'Olaf Matthes The artificial tango library is a collection of externals for Max/MSP dealing with recognition, analysis and generation of musical structures and events. Most objects take MIDI data as input.
In order to use the objects from the artificial tango library FTM 2.0 has to be installed on your system.
Jitter
debug: SELECT prenom, nom FROM auteurs RIGHT JOIN auteur_libraries USING (id_auteur) WHERE auteur_libraries.id_library='11' Cycling74 Jitter is a set of 135 brilliant new video, matrix, and 3D graphics objects for the Max graphical programming environment. The Jitter objects extend the functionality of Max4/MSP2 with flexible means to generate and manipulate matrix data -- any data that can be expressed in rows and columns, such as video and still images, 3D geometry, as well as text, spreadsheet data, particle systems, voxels, or audio. Jitter is useful to anyone interested in real-time video processing, custom effects, 2D/3D graphics, audio/visual interaction, data visualization, and analysis
Luigi's MSP objects
debug: SELECT prenom, nom FROM auteurs RIGHT JOIN auteur_libraries USING (id_auteur) WHERE auteur_libraries.id_library='20'Luigi Castelli virtual analog bandlimited waveform generators, quadraphonic panner and crossfader.
Modal Object Library
debug: SELECT prenom, nom FROM auteurs RIGHT JOIN auteur_libraries USING (id_auteur) WHERE auteur_libraries.id_library='110'V.j. Manzo The Modal Object Library is a collection of objects for Max/MSP that control modality.

Included are objects for all 28 diatonic modes (scales), the Messiaen modes, chords, triads, progressions, modal relationships and modal analysis. This library would be especially useful to those interested in algorithmic composition and interactive music systems.

Free registration is required. Registration forum offers patches, and objects based on this library.

pg.library
debug: SELECT prenom, nom FROM auteurs RIGHT JOIN auteur_libraries USING (id_auteur) WHERE auteur_libraries.id_library='161'Pierre Guillot The pg.library is a collection of externals for Max 5 and Max 6. It includes a data, a msp and a fft library.
The Data library is a collection of externals for Max 5 and 6 that can be useful for the management, the transformation and the generation of data. The Dsp library is a collection of externals for Max 5 that allows you to pack/unpack signals and to adapt signals for the operations with packed signals. It includes a quasi-synchronous granlular synthesiser and chaotic signal generator. The FFT library is a collection of externals for Max 6 for spectral description and analysis of a signal.

tapemovie is a modular software environment for controlling, processing, and analyzing various media in realtime (sound, video, 3D, lighting). It has stood the test of numerous productions since 2007, for theater, dance, concert performance and installation - enabling precise control and sequencing of media and their interactions while at the same time allowing connections with multiple peripheral controllers and interfaces. It is programmed with Max/MSP/Jitter and exists as a standalone application (free download), as well as in patch version for advanced users.
The sadam Library
debug: SELECT prenom, nom FROM auteurs RIGHT JOIN auteur_libraries USING (id_auteur) WHERE auteur_libraries.id_library='154'Adam Siska The sadam Library is a set of free tools that I programmed for MaxMSP.
